Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale
Zomg, I wrote this so long ago - early November. Oh well! publishing anyway.
First post from my mobile. I have to write about the Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale. I'm sorry to dangle this carrot in front of your face and then snatch it away, as the sale is over now, but wow. Online shopping is nice and all but there's definitely something to be said for seeing everything there, solidly right in front of you, all the colors mixing and clashing and blending in a beautiful cacophony.
I went on Friday at about 2:30 pm and the tables were really orderly and there were at least a dozen workers constantly straightening up. I've wanted a new bag for a while so I just wanted to get one and end cycle on it. I walked in wanting the Swing bag in red and thats what I walked out with. I had to resort to some things I wasn't so proud of - No, I didn't trample anyone - but hey [insert justification of your choice here]. Haha, no but I may or may not have just given someone some opinion slightly altered in my favor, so she'd put the last red bag down :)
powers of intention. I'm loving the bag.
Speaking of intention, JJ has an uncanny ability to find cash on the street. He always has, it's funny. Well last week we were driving home from the train station and I saw a kid pull out his keys and somethong fell out of his pocket - by the time I stopped the car he was already on a different block - but it was a $10 bill. Since he was so close I drove down the block and gave it back. Creeper alert, *car slows down* "hi little boy, lose something??" He was pleasantly surprised, if not slightly freaked out.
Saturday AM JJ found a $2 BILL in a crumpled mass on the street. Two days later he found a $5 bill in a garbage can. I know that sounds bummy, but hey - you find what you find.
